What information do we collect about you?

When you join as a member, visit or enter an open competition or event at our Golf Club we collect only the information required from you to be able to fulfil our contractual obligations which includes being able to contact you to be able to send you a subscription renewal notice, AGM notices and to administrate competitions at the club.

With your permission, we may also collect further information through our website, sign-up sheets, marketing leaflets, competition entry forms and booking forms which allows us to contact you regarding events and offers at the club.

If you are an employee or are applying for a job at Lansdown Golf Club there are bespoke privacy notices that apply to you and are issued and available separately.


How the information about you will be used.

When you join as a member, visit or enter an open competition or society event we may share your information with external and internal data processors. Your personal data is controlled internally by the club’s appointed data protection officer who adheres to our internal data protection policies and procedures.


Marketing

You may have opted in for us to be able to correspond with you regarding our activities including events and competitions by way of post, telephone, email and SMS. We don’t share your data with external marketing companies who would contact you this way. If you have consented to this correspondence you can opt out at any time.

 

Individuals Rights

You have the right to request a copy of the information we hold about you. If you would like a copy of this information please write to the data controller at the address mentioned below.

This will be provided to you in a portable, machine readable commonly used format.

We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date you may ask us to correct or erase information that you think is inaccurate.

At the time of collecting data you have the right to object to the club holding certain information about you.


CCTV

CCTV cameras are used to monitor the premises and assets. This data is stored securely via a password protected system to which only authorised persons have access. The data captured by the CCTV cameras may be used in the event of a disciplinary or criminal action.


PDQ Machines – Card payment acceptance

We use a third party provider to facilitate card payments. No data is stored via these devices when taking payments.


Bar Cards

Our system holds balances and transactions relating to bar cards in order for us to administrate the system. The data is held securely for administration purposes and shared with our internal and external data processors if required.


WiFi

Data Retention (EC Directive Regulations 2009) require us to keep at least 12 months record for the users accessing the Wi-Fi and a record of what services they access.
