Seniors Section

Captain Alan Hobson - 2018

Welcome to all members

We are an active and friendly section for the over 60’s who enjoy amiable competitive golf both between ourselves and with like minded golfers from other, mainly local clubs and sections. There are a number of established informal groups who will actively welcome new members. The pro shop or senior captain will be happy to make the necessary introductions.  It is recommended playing with several of these to find which time and group you are happiest with. Various competitions and Senior Medals are played as detailed below. Information is also provided in the club diary and on the notice board. Many Seniors also play in the club weekday stableford.

Matches with other clubs (home and away).
We have some 28 friendly matches and notices are posted on the Senior Captain’s notice board approximately 4 weeks prior to a match asking for availability. Please enter your name if you would like to play. Selection is made 1-2 weeks prior to the game. After each match we change and stay for a meal. Members are expected to be available for about an equal number of home and away matches.
